The owners of this renovated residence located in Hampstead wanted to get a garden with punch that would be up to the new look of the house. The design process led to the creation of a garden that combines contemporary and classic styles. The challenge here was to manage the relationship between the front yard and the elevation of the front wall of the house. The doorstep being very high compared to the street level, the pathway to this door would still have to be comfortable and interesting. In addition, the location and size of the driveway, plus its proximity to the front door of the residence, was an additional problem. A set of steps and flowerbeds boxed with low walls would allow us to achieve the initial goal and solve the different problems met in this project.
