This magnificent site, located on the edge of Masson Lake in the Laurentians, offered a steep gradient which constituted the principal challenge in the design of this garden. The imposing slope would need to be modified in order to provide comfortable landscaped areas to the client. Large natural stones were necessary to build efficient retaining walls. In addition, the planning of a small stream would transform a problematic drainage issue into an esthetical element in the project. Finally, a careful selection of plants would ensure the creation of a nice country styled garden.
